Betsy is a Professor (retired) of Exercise Science at Ithaca College. She received a doctorate from the University of Massachusetts - Amherst and is a Fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine, Past-President of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Chapter of American College of Sports Medicine, past member of the Board of Trustees of the American College of Sports Medicine, and former department chair. For over two decades, she has conducted clinical exercise testing to assess the ability of people with chronic fatiguing illnesses to recover normally following exertion for purposes of research and to provide objective evidence of impairment. She coordinated multi-site data collection for a 5-year NIH-funded study of ME/CFS, served on the Institute of Medicine (National Academy of Medicine) committee to identify clinical criteria for the diagnosis of ME/CFS, and has given scientific and invited presentations on fatiguing illnesses nationally and internationally.

Candace is currently an Associate Professor and Graduate Program Chair in the Exercise Science and Athletic Training Department at Ithaca College. She holds a doctorate from Syracuse University and completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Le Moyne College. Candace teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses, focusing on exercise physiology, pathophysiology, and the role of exercise in clinical populations. She also mentors students in applied coursework involving clinical and performance-based exercise testing and prescription. Throughout her career, she has conducted exercise testing across a range of populations, including collegiate athletes, older adults, individuals with intellectual disabilities, and, more recently, those with fatiguing illnesses. Her clinical experience complements her research interests, which include exercise physiology, cardiorespiratory function, sarcopenia, fatigue, and the therapeutic use of exercise.

Lori Rossi is an experienced and detail-oriented Office Coordinator who oversees daily operations at Workwell East, ensuring a seamless and supportive environment for both patients and staff. With a solid background in healthcare administration and a passion for healing, she brings clarity, structure, and heart to everything she touches. In addition to her work at Workwell, Lori is a Licensed Massage Therapist, specializing in medical and integrative massage, Energy work with the Body/Belief Code, and a certified Conscious Keto Coach. She supports individuals navigating chronic fatigue and inflammation by blending hands-on therapeutic bodywork with nutrition-forward, metabolic health strategies. Lori is the founder of Soul Stroll, her private wellness practice that merges evidence-based care with soul-deep support. Her ability to bridge traditional healthcare with intuitive, personalized healing makes her a powerful ally for clients seeking transformation—both in the office and far beyond.

Kristin is a highly experienced Registered Nurse with a BS in Exercise Science. She has been administering cardiopulmonary exercise tests for over a decade, starting at Ithaca College and now continuing her work at Workwell East. With a strong clinical background and deep compassion for patients, Kristin ensures each client feels supported and informed throughout the testing process. Her dedication to precision and patient care makes her an integral part of the the Workwell East team.
